Web Design and Development

Overview

This program will familiarize you with website design and development. Web design is the process of creating websites which is front-end design. It encompasses several different aspects, including webpage layout, content production, and graphic design using different technologies and content management systems (CMS). Web designers build web pages using HTML tags that define the content and metadata of each page. The employment of web developers is projected to grow 13% from 2018 to 2028, much faster than average for all occupations. In addition, an increase in the use of mobile devices to search web content will lead to increased demand for web developers.

Prerequisite

A motivated person who wants to be a freelancer and likes to work independently.

Introduction to web design and development

• Basics of web design and development. Discussion on importance and career in web design and development field
• Domain, Hosting, Server, FTP client, Designing Language
• Installation of IDE (Notepad++, Brackets)
• Run an index.html file

HTML

• What is HTML? How does it work?
• Links, Header, Footer, Body
• Text, Image, Icon, Button, Menu etc.
• Heading, Paragraph, Font etc.
• Practice a HTML page layout

CSS

• What is CSS? How does it work?
• Margin, Padding, Height, Width, Background, Border, Alignment,
• Dropdown menu using CSS
• Practice a CSS page layout

Bootstrap and development concepts

• What is Bootstrap? How does it work?
• Basic use of Bootstrap
• What is WordPress? How does it work?
